Is there an entry fee to visit Palette and Pasture?

There is no entry fee for Parking, Visiting the Ice Cream Parlour, Seeing the animals adjacent to the Ice Cream Parlour, Using the Pedal Tractors, Digger Pit.

The trails, pick your own events, Maize Maze, Wild Flower Meadow, and inflatables all incur a charge to visit.

Can I Pre-book the Inflatables?

No.  Please turn up on the day to book your place.

Can I Pre-book Events?

Yes.  Please book your tickets through our website.

Can I Swap My Tickets for Trails, Pick Your Own’s, Wild Flower Meadow, Maize Maze

You are able to swap your tickets up to 24 hours before your ticket time.  Please log in to your ticket account and swap them yourself.

Can I get a Refund for my Event Tickets if I or a Family Member is Ill?

Are dogs allowed?

We are a dog friendly venue.  Please keep your dogs on short a lead at all times when visiting Palette and Pasture Ltd.  We do not provide communal dog water bowls, due to the risk of spreading disease.  There are 4 easily accessible water taps on site.  Please bring your own container and fill it yourself.  

Please make sure you have your own poo bags, and dispose in the numerous waste bins on site.  For trails, pick your own, and maize maze, there will be a waste bin on entry and exit only.

How long should we allow for our visit?

Trails last the average family 45 – 90 minutes, depending on which trail it is.  Please allow up to 2 hours for the Maize Maze.  You are allowed up to 1 ½ hours in the Sunflower and Wild Flower Meadow, and up to 2 hours in the pumpkin patch.

Inflatables (when open) offer slots every 15 minutes for ½ hour of bouncing fun.

The ice cream parlour has no time limit.  You are welcome to stay during our opening times only.

Can my children come on their own?

No. We have a strict policy that states that children (anyone under the age of 16 years) MUST be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at ALL times.

What is there to do in bad weather?

The trails, pick your owns, wild flower meadow and maize maze are all weather events.  Please dress appropriately for the weather.

The ice cream parlour has indoor seating available. There is a welly washing station available on site for you to use before entering the ice cream parlour.

You are still able to ride the pedal tractors and play in the digger pit.  The animals are adjacent to the Ice Cream Parlour from March to October.  You will able to feed them in any weather conditions.

The inflatables will only open in suitable weather conditions. Please check daily social media updates.

What age group are the Trails suitable for?

Our Trails are aimed at children aged 2 – 8 years and their families.

What age group are the Pick Your Owns, Maize Maze, and Wild Flower meadow suitable for?

These events are suitable for any age. Tickets required from age 3 years plus.

Do I have to pay for parking?

No, we have lots of free parking available for our visitors.

How do I get to you by public transport?

Palette and Pasture is NOT easily accessible by public transport. Please check out current PUBLIC bus time tables for updates.

Is there a cash point nearby?

There are cash points located in Sainsburys, Frome  approx. 1/2 mile from Palette and Pasture Ltd. And at the Esso Garage at Nunney Catch Round-A-Bout. ¼ mile away. We accept card payments (except American Express). We do not offer a cash back service. Sorry, but we do not accept cheques.

Is the farm accessible for wheelchair users and those with impaired mobility?

The car park is either loose stone or grass. The Ice Cream Parlour is accessible via concrete sloping walkway.

There is access to a disabled toilet and hand washing facilities.

The animals, play/outside eating area, inflatables, trails, pick your own, and maize maze family are accessed via grass or gravel paths which may not be accessible depending on ground conditions and your individual mobility. 

We recommend an all terrain wheel chair when visiting us to participate in activities (excluding inflatables due to their nature)

Is there a reduction for those with a disability?

We do not currently offer any concessions.

What about baby facilities?

There is a baby changing facility available at the back of the ice cream parlour where the toilets are located.

What food/drinks do you serve?

Hot and cold drinks (options available).  A selection of ice creams by the scoop. Sundaes, Milkshakes and waffles.  Limited snacks and savouries (when available).

500ml takeaway Ice cream tubs in a variety of flavours (seasonal options available).

Can I bring my own Picnic?

As long as you support the ice cream parlour as a small independent business by purchasing drinks and ice cream we are happy for you to bring along small picnic.  Please make sure you dispose of your picnic waste appropriately, leaving the area clean and tidy.  (barbecues are not permitted).  Consumption of alcohol is not permitted on site.
